A Prayer for October

God we thank you for helping us make it through the first nine months of 2023. There have been many triumphs and pains but you have remained consistent. Thank you for keeping a hedge of protection around us as we go through our days. We thank you for the accidents, illnesses, and evil that you kept away. Thank you for every unseen force that came against us that we were unaware of and that you intercepted. We are grateful for every weapon that formed but did not prosper against us because of your love for us. You are our warrior and our defender. Thank you.

Heal our broken hearts from grief. From lost opportunities, rejections, redirections and how we thought you would show up. Heal the voids that were created from the death of loved ones, betrayal of friends, or the loss of respect in those we admired and looked up to. Restore our faith and trust in people. Allow us to seek and expect the best from those around us. As the world continues to grow darker, allow your light to shine through us.

As we go into the month of October, we ask for your guidance. Show us which paths to take and what steps to make. Allow our thoughts and actions to come into alignment with your will for our lives. Help us to seek you daily. For everyone who has a need, hear our prayers and meet our needs. Let this be a reminder that you have not forgotten about us or our situations. Ignite hope inside of us all. Allow us to believe that things will happen for us and work in our favor. We are believing for new job offers, debts paid, healing from sickness, restored marriages, reconciled relationships, financial resolutions, successful partnerships, healthy pregnancies, approved mortgages, and so much more. We know that you are able to do things for us in these last 3 months of the year. We pray for acceleration in every area that felt stagnant. Open the right doors, close the wrong ones and give us wisdom to follow your discernment. Our best days are ahead of us and we will see your goodness this month.

In Jesus' Name Amen
