X Marks The Spot: let’s hear it for all of my ladies!
March is Women's History month dedicated to acknowledging the amazing contributions of women to our society. In honor of Women's History month this week's blog post is focused on the ladies! Have you ever stopped to think about how special women are? God had such a special plan in his design for women that He created us as his special final touch. Think about it. After creating the heavens, earth, sky, and water, He created Adam. Think of the vastness of existence from the galaxy, planets, stars, all the creatures in the oceans, and all of the animals on the land. God still felt like something was missing after all that he created. Even after Adam, God felt that there was something missing! How beautiful is God's love, admiration, and purpose for women that he reserved such a special place for us in his grand plan?
I hope you know that your life doesn't exist just by chance. You are an integral part of this life and your journey is unique. It may not always feel like it or be easy, but you were built for this. You can handle whatever life brings your way.
Women have so many responsibilities and sometimes we need simple reminders about how valuable and powerful we are. Our strength, resilience, gentleness and grace makes the world a better place! If no one has told you lately you are appreciated and you are doing a great job! Here are some other reminders:
Get comfortable setting boundaries
There is so much more to self-care than bubble baths, cute nails, and cute IG aesthetics. Boundaries are the most important form of self-care because they allow us to be in relationship with the external world while deeply valuing and honoring our internal world. Tracy Ellis Ross said that over the years she has "learned to say no when she's had enough, not when she's depleted." We often give so much of ourselves in more ways than one.
You are more than Enough
Do not allow another flawed human to make you feel like you aren't enough. You are already enough. Your value cannot be found in anything or anyone on this earth, which means that it also can't be taken away. YOU sis are more valuable than any job, title, bank account, failure, or accomplishment. It’s okay to doubt yourself and what you are capable of sometimes. It's a part of being human. Just make sure that you don't stay in that space. If you weren't ready, the opportunity would not have come. You are the person to write that book, start that business, raise those children, love your partner, and save your family. You are the person that God put in their life. You bring so much to the table, so act like it.
"A Woman in her glory, A woman of beauty, is a woman who is not striving to become beautiful or worthy or enough. She knows in her quiet center where God dwells that he finds her beautiful, has deemed her worthy, and in him, she is enough."

Dream Big
Stop making excuses for why you can't follow your dreams. Women tend to apply for 20% fewer jobs and opportunities compared to men. Statistics show that woman are less likely to go for an opportunity until they have 100% of the qualifications. Society tends to shower women with all of these standards that breed insecurities. I hope you know that your dreams matter. Even if things may not have worked out for you in the past, I hope you believe that things will work out in the future. Believe that every rejection and "NO" that you receive will lead you closer to your "YES."
Remember that you are beautiful, chosen, and loved more than you could ever know.
This post is dedicated to my mother, step mom, aunts, and my favorite girlfriends (you know who you are!) who are the women in my life who persevere, love, inspire, and make their communities a better place.
